WEEK #2 Hello Shoreline Yogis!
We were off again today traveling to Africa for “Your SAFARI Yoga Journey.” Our journey was exciting and we saw all kinds of interesting creatures. We also learned to put a series of poses together to create a SUN SALUTATION. This is a great way to start or end the day.
Here are the poses we did this week:
Balloon Breathing
Sun Stretches
Airplane
Jeep Driver (chair pose)
Snake
Crocodile
Lion
Monkey
Elephant
Giraffe and Tree
Sun Salutation (check out an animation at http://www.abc-of-yoga.com/yogapractice/sunsalutation.asp)
Savasana
Jeep Driver (chair pose)

Giraffe and Tree
Sun Salutation (check out an animation at http://www.abc-of-yoga.com/yogapractice/sunsalutation.asp)
Savasana
I hope you enjoyed listening to the story about the Lion's Whisker. Remember to think about what we can do to help us be patient: take deep yoga breaths, find fun things to do to pass the time, use our imaginations think of something when we need to be quiet and still.
Have fun this week making your mask look like on of our safari poses. Please feel free to bring it to class next week and share it with us. I can't wait to learn which animal was YOUR favorite. See you next week.
Namaste,
-Ms. Jen
